clayton scott, boeing's chief corporate pilot has died at 101 years old. he learned to fly from air mail pilots. in 1932 scott met bill boeing, & took him on a sight seeing trip. boeing hired mr scott as a pilot for boeing's airline united air transport which would eventually become united airlines. scott later became bill boeing's personal pilot. during ww 2 clayton scott test flew more than 1000 b-17 bombers before they were shipped off to the war. he also flew the db-7, a-20, b-50, b-52, c-97, 707, & the 727. he had a pretty impressive flying career!!
