It said it was a seaplane fly-in, did not see anything about there being water. Maybe they forgot that part.

A few of thos airplanes look familiar,
The Wodgeon used to be based at Beverly, Ma, I havent seen it in a while.

I was on a boat off the coast of Maine a few years back and that Goose flew by. That was the weekend Delmar brought the GeeBee to Rockland.

Is the 2nd pic a Moose?

The water would be about 1.5mi behind and about 300ft below the Sikorski ORDirectly below the Widgon Flying past at a high rate of speed(kcan tell by the blurr! ) We were at the Greenville Airport here, where most alot of interesting aircraft that don't actually participate in the flyin hang out. Or in the case of Dick Jackson, his motor home/tour bus was parked there. As we arrived at the airfield Dick had just flown out to do a waterlanding with the Sikorski(MISSED THAT ONE!!!). HE flew back in just as we were leaving the field and just ahead of a nasty thundershower. Needless to say we got wet after getting those photos and helping Dick tie the S-39 down. Ran like he11 to get off that field with the lightning striking all around! Here are some in a more WET locale! I'll post more as I get them scanned in/uploaded to Photobucket.
