I never saw that preview before. Thanks for posting it.
You know it's always nice to see some of the excess footage that they don't use in films. None of those P-40 scenes are in "1941".
I'd love to see the footage of the B-25's that never made it into the movie "Catch-22". I think they shot over a million feet of film on just the B-25's.

I think the airfield used in that sequence was actually a road on which they shot the Gas Station sequence. The gas station location and the actress/owner, Lucille Benson, were the same location and actress that appeared in a scene in Spielberg's TV movie thriller, "Duel". I believe the road location was in the Mojave Desert.
