1942 A75N1 N2S-3

S/N: 75-6754

Registration: N1942 (formerly N9914H)

Accepted at NARB Dallas, spent the war at NAS Grosse Ile, AMARC'd at NAS Corpus Christi, TX 1946.

Civilian Career: Spent the 50s and 60s in the hands of Clifford Ducharme of West Bend, WI as a duster, and was his wife's personal airplane. Rebuilt and sold to my dad and his partner in 1967. Dad sold his half to his partner Jim Leahy, who proceeded to co-found the National Stearman Fly-In with the airplane along with Tom Lowe in 1972.

I received my first airplane ride in the plane on my father's lap from Galesburg's grass strip at the age of 5 in 1976. In 1993, Jim Leahy sold the plane to two gentlemen from Chicago, IL who owned it until recently when I re-acquired the airplane. It will reside in Olympia, WA.

Would probably be helpful if I could figure out how to attach a friggin' photo!
