Fortress

Anybody seen this? I just found it in a RedBox and am halfway through it. CGI of course, but on the up side there doesn't seem to be a love story. Just a bunch of guys living in the desert trying to get through their 25 in one piece.

Saw it last night. I thought it was pretty good for what it is. Some of the CGI work looks amazing while some of it isnt so great . All in all i thought it was worth watching, certainly a better movie than some of the crap Hollywood has been cranking out over the years. Hanks and Spielberg need to get on board with a project like this to add to the pacific and BoB. Get it or download it, it's ok.

I haven't seen it yet, but it came up in another thread.
I figured out that it's total budget equals 43 seconds of RedTails

Well the plot certainly was better in Fortress...

Just watched it the other day, but in order to watch it I had to sit through "Hope Springs" first!
I thought Fortress was o.k. as stated above at least there was no stupid love story! :drink3:

I thought it was an ok/entertaining movie. Really poorly made and the props and effects were pretty bad. But it still beat Red Tails by a mile. I struck me very much as a film project for some college kid or somebody that acquired a fancy camera and now touts himself as film maker. But, it was entertaining and beat anything else on the tube that night.

The credits made the entire experience worth it. The part about no B-17 operators being willing to help so that explained why they were limited in what the could do was interesting. There is an entire paragraph in the credits about doing what they did that seemed pretty honest. It should have been put at the front of the movie.

The CGI wasn't bad. It would have been better if they had a real airplane.

On a side note--love stories detract from aviation movies if they are too graphic. I am more interested in the airplanes that I am the romantic subplots.
