G-DHSS served with the Swiss Air Force and then was acquired by Source Aviation and was put on the UK Register and first flew under permit to fly on September 29th 2000. It is painted in the all-over white livery of WR360 of 60 Squadron Royal Air Force and commemorates their Venom display team when based at RAFTengah.

I viewed these aircraft a number of months ago. I like the statement that the permit will have to be renewed - it's not being unkind to say these aeroplanes are totally f^*@~d, completely rotten. Better off strapping an engine to a sodden sponge. They would make an OK museum piece, but flying again? Not without the sort of rebuild only a Spitfire or P-51 can financially justify. Sorry.

Then the cost's associated with bringing it to the U.S., and all the red tape political bull to import. It would be nice to have as a static display but not much more. :drink3:
