VFM's F-86 Restoration Team is looking for a mounting boom assembly for the pitot on our F-86F. It's a static display airframe, so the part doesn't need to be airworthy, just in good physical shape with no visible damage. We have the pitot itself (NOS, in fact!) but not the mounting boom that it fits into. The airplane is a -30, but the wing is a -40 (a common upgrade among later F-86 users), so we need parts from a -40. I have the -30 manual and parts catalog, and the two types are not even similar and in fact mount in a different place on the wing! A donation would be most appreciated, or we might have some F-86 part in our stash that you need, so maybe a trade is possible. Let's talk!
