As I continue with planning and fund-raising for the static restoration of VFM's F-86F Sabre jet, I'm thinking ahead toward displaying the finished airplane. We have the partial remains of several J-47 engines, and I think we have enough parts to assemble a reasonably convincing display engine. We would love to have an original engine dolly that was used with F-86's so that we could display the built-up engine next to the airplane, along with some explanatory signage. I don't know what the military designation for that dolly is (Sabremech? Buehler? Anyone?). If you know of one that might be available for donation or sale, please PM me with the information.
