for sale qty 5 50's era "indicator directional gyroscopic" made by sperry co, division of sperry rand, u.s. property, believed to be knew old stock condition from the old ortner air service, the largest nonscheduled air freight service east of the Mississippi river from the 1950's to the early 70's in wakeman, ohio where I live. brokering these for former airport owner of 34 years. ortner's operated a number of curtiss c-46's 1 douglas dc-6, a number of douglas dc -7's, & a number of beech 18's / c-45's. great for instrument panel restoration / filler of this type of above listed aircraft types. owner puts no guarantee to air worthiness or safety, it's up to buyer to make that determination. all cage or turn. each 1 states the following on data plates.....
