I viewed these aircraft a number of months ago. I like the statement that the permit will have to be renewed - it's not being unkind to say these aeroplanes are totally f^*@~d, completely rotten. Better off strapping an engine to a sodden sponge. They would make an OK museum piece, but flying again? Not without the sort of rebuild only a Spitfire or P-51 can financially justify. Sorry. |

Then the cost's associated with bringing it to the U.S., and all the red tape political bull to import. It would be nice to have as a static display but not much more. ![]() |
