Are they for an airworthy restoration or for static display?

You can replate and and reuse the metal buckles and have any parachute rigger make new belts. Any place that sells horse saddles can sell you new leather too.

That's what I do in the US. Most parachute riggers can certify the belts this way. Not sure about the regulations in France so you might want to ask.

I used to see these in every surplus store 25 years ago. Not anymore!

These are getting quite expensive now.
