A rare warbird straight from NASA

Not mine, found it on an auction website today, a Lockheed Quietstar! Right from Dryden Flight Center. Surely some WIXer would want it. How cool would this be painted like a Vietnam bird?

I got to see this one (or one like it) at Edwards one day. It is as small and quiet as people say it is. Neat little airplane, wish I was rich.

From what I've read this was the only one at Dryden, used for noise research with helicopters. It's one of 11 making it a pretty rare warbird as well. Rich?... For a complete and operational 2 place single piston engine aircraft, $10,000 seems pretty low (the current reserve with NO bids!). Not something I have the means to do either but I really hope someone on WIX saves her, it would be awesome to learn about it. I was looking for more info on it, the operational manual from NASA is out there, really cool info in it.

my buddy services this plane at edwards, I told him it was upfor sale, he laughed and said, that piece of junk!...lol....it would be lucky if it would hit 100mph!....thought that was funny
