I wish more discussions on this forum were like this,interesting and non-confrontational. I don't (nor wil I likely ever) have a T-6/SNJ/Harvard. But, the insights shared are useful in the abstract.

That's how I do it when by myself, but the tug doesn't have a mirror to look at the pintle.
I've seen a couple with what appears to be one of those mechanics telescopic magnet tools with a tennis ball on the end stuck to the tow bar so the tug driver can *see* where to tow bar is.

btw Fearless: I saw 3 tugs sitting at Petes yesterday, 2 are surplus to requirements..
