I was looking at Duxford on Goggle Earth and noticed something that looks like a narrow gauge Railroad on the Southwest corner of the airfield, next to the runway.
Can anybody tell me about it?
Thanks.
Jerry

Wouldn't be the same tracks as seen at the end of this video, would it?

I believe the IWM had a steam engine on loan and decided to lay some tracks so the public could see the steam engine running up and down once in a while.

I thought some RAF bases had them for moving munitions and such around the base. I believe it was during WWII.

I am pretty certain it was installed as a public attraction when a locomotive from an early era was on loan to the IWM
