I know this is probably a bit odd, but does anyone know a good place where I can get a lot of small diecast corsairs? I found some that are 1/100 scale and look great, but they are about $20 a piece. I was looking to find them cheaper than that. The reason I need them are because my fiance wanted to use them for center pieces for our wedding reception. :D (Corsairs are actually going to be on our wedding invitatons too!)

Thanks!

Is it possible that we could clone her?

Wow...I don't know of too many women out there that are willing to have warbirds as part of their wedding decorations... This gal sounds like a keeper!

My wife just shakes her head when I start talking warbirds with my two boys and constantly nags at me about all the turret parts scattered everywhere in the basement. Does your fiancee have a sister?

Your wife rocks! I love that! How cute! :) I have just the opposite problem! I need to find a guy up here that is into aviation!

Also, good call on the Corsairs. The Corsair was my favorite at an airshow I recently went to, loved it!

Stephanie

Stephanie, you seemed like such a bright girl until you said the Corsair was your favorite! Didn't they have any Spitfires or P-51s at that show? How are your going to explain to your wedding guests about the oil dripped all over their cake?

Oooh, touche! I really liked the Corsairs, however, I loved the B17 too, but I really figure the B17 stands kind of in a class by itself. So I had to show some love to something else, and the Corsair was my choice! It's awfully cool.

Great, but I wouldn't suggest using the theme from "Baa Baa Black Sheep" as the music for your first dance at the reception. It's catchy, but darn difficult to slow-dance to.

Actually, I'm impressed that Trae found such a practical use for a Spitfire!

Round rules!

(Funny, but I swear I can hear the distant sound of a Merlin on a high-speed strafing pass...) :spit

Elroy and Tim, The Devil almost made me right a good response to your post, but I will clean it up a little. It is good that you have a Spitfire, cause with the great wing and the Merlin engine it can provide top cover for you up high and noble, or the opposite. Have you guys got any actulal Corsair time, I've got about an hour?

Bill
I was able to sit in a Corsair 2 years ago for about 10 minutes and install the flight control lock (or whatever it is called) because the pilot and someone else (both to remain nameless) didn't want to do it , does that count for anything.
