ask the seller what the date is on the instructions. if it say's 1964 you've got the real deal. so many model companies are knocking off classic old box art with new current period models in the box. some unscrupulous sellers even put new cellophane wrapping on the boxes & sell them as unopened. also beware that the old box art may say 1964, but then you open the kit & the instructions have a different current date. i've been burned in this way before.

Looks legit to me..but it's only real value would be to a collector. By today's standards, the old Revell kit is considered pretty crude.

Those old Revell kits did have some really cool box art..the "Memphis Belle" kit is a real classic (cut that one out and taped it to my bedroom wall as a kid.) Of course, they took some liberties with historical accuracy. The B-24D box art depicted the "Blue Streak" bombing Ploesti, in markings that weren't applied until she came home for a bond tour after the raid.

I still have my "cool" box top from the "Memphis Belle" that I built in the 1960's! Leywood (sp?) did some fantastic art work for those models!
That Lancaster kit was also the first 4-engined kit I ever built. I really enjoyed it!
