Since people seem to think that the off-topic section is for political discussion, something that is frowned upon, I have temporarily closed the section. ANY political discussions in any other forum will be deleted and the user suspended. I have had it with the politically motivated comments.

He sure was - too bad he didn't get another shot at the Snake River jump. I remember years ago he wanted to try a really different stunt - jumping out of a B-50 (Yes, a B-
50 - why that one? Who knows, maybe he meant a B-52?) without a parachute and landing in a haystack

I saw a few minutes of a documentary with Evel this afternoon. He made a statement that sums up the feelings of anyone with a "Type A" personality. I'm paraphrasing his actual quote--"I can't stomach sitting there watching someone else in the arena." That little sentence sums up why I can't watch a motocross race eighteen years after I put my helmet in the bag for the last time.
Amen and Godspeed, Evel

Guess I gotta say he was a hero to me also.
I ended up with many a bruise and scars from trying to be like Evel.
I ended up in motocross because of him and jumped a few "things" in his honor over the years.
Wish I still had that "no fear" in me sometimes.
