MD State Police Medevac Dauphin II Accident

Just happened last night. Four killed- MD State Officers Pilot and Paramedic, patient and another attending Medic. One more is in bad shape.

Question- what do you have in your neighborhood for aerial medevac, and how well does it work?

Very sad to hear about the Dauphin and its crew -- Never good when the rescuers become the victims.


Forgotten Field, up here on the left coast of the Great White North the BC Ambulance Service puts out three contracts: Heli, Jet, and Prop.
Sikorsky S-76s are used for the heli role, provided by Helijet Airways as seen here:

Plus there exits a jet contract, currently held by Helijet as well using two Lear 31s:
