Some spots around town could get up to an inch of snow. The kids on our street had a huge snowball fight. I tried taking some pics from my camera phone but they didnt come out all that great.

Go to www.click2houston.com to see some pics before dark around town. About 9 pm is when it really started coming down hard. The Clear Lake/Nasa area even got some snow.

The funny thing is that yesterday it was hot an humid!

I was talking to a vendor today in Conroe @ 4:00...she could stop laughing...I asked her "what's so funny?"

That's when she told me the news...

Plague

Elroy, next comes the Locusts, then the Plague. But it may not be too late to save yourself. If you promise to start voting for the right guy, and Zane starts backing the right football team, then I can put in a good word for you at the top. Redemption and Salvation can still be yours.

Years ago, when I was a little kid, it snowed enough two years in a row that my Dad made a sled out of a long wooden ladder and towed us around. It was about 1954 and or 1955. I recall the ins co he worked for being closed and the sled photo being on the cover of the company magazine. One year, I am not sure if it was then, there was a big ice storm that brought down the power lines and lots of trees. We lost all power, and well water where we lived 10 miles out, Memorial and Piney Point, and had to move into town to live with my Grandmother who was at least on city water. For years after that you could still see trees bent over from the weight of the ice.

Another time when I was about 14 or so, I had been skiing once in Colo., so when it snowed again, I took my skis over to the golf course and tried to ski down the hilly part. Not much luck, the wet snow mostly stuck to the ski bottoms.

They are reporting its still snowing in Houston this morning. How are you guys doing? Do we need to send in FEMA? After all the gummit is here to help you!

Accidents all over the place. Mostly ice on the bridges and over passes....first IKE now snow and ice, and today it is suppose to be up in the mid 60's! Most of the snow was melted in our yard this morning or turned into ice. The east side of Houston got some good snow. One of my employees has about 2-3 inches of snow on his truck out in the parking lot. Everyone (just like every year) freaks out about icy roads. But just about every Christmas I spend time in Breckenridge Colorado...so this lil stuff is cake when it comes through.. :)

Here are some more pics from around town.
