Me too! You have at least one ally here.

That commercial was, well, interesting for lack of the right word. I'm glad I don't watch TV in general.

Ryan,

From the screeming jerks peddling towels, or the latest broom (funny how no one can use anymore the stuff they could use before this new and improved version came out), or the ad-nauseam repetitions of levitra, smiling bob, "and I got biggerrrr" and all that absolute lack of creativity, the fake opera ad really hit the spot with me. : )

More specifically, sounds like a Gilbert & Sullivan spoof, which were comedies in themselves.

Agreed Tulio that is a much more entertaining version of several of those types of commercials in that vein.

My question would be...how much does a joint like J G Wentwoth make when they buy out a structured settlement? Is it a fee based company or a percentage? Just curious...

Sun May 10, 2009 10:46 am

Places like that take a hefty percentage because they count on you to not pay attention too closely to the overall details or that you will not make good finaicial plans. You can probably figure that their cut is somewhere around 40% of the total value. Too many people that get large settlements decide that they want as much cash as the can get immediately and end up plowing through it all very quickly and are in a bad financial mess within a very short time.
