Since people seem to think that the off-topic section is for political discussion, something that is frowned upon, I have temporarily closed the section. ANY political discussions in any other forum will be deleted and the user suspended. I have had it with the politically motivated comments.

Excellent web site! I see a few Midway Airlines MD-80s that I've flown in one of the photos! :(

It was originally delivered to National Airways Corporation in 1968 and it's one of the very first -200 model 737s built. NAC evolved into Air New Zealand. Here she is in Auckland, NZ.

The 737 was later flown at AirCal which was bought by American. You can see the ghost of American still on the fuselage in the photo at the top. It finally went to a charter airline named Transtar which is where I flew it for a year in 1993. I got my FAA B-737 Type Rating in that airplane and what makes this ex-Air New Zealand bird extra special to me is that while I was flying it, I was engaged and finally married a lovely New Zealand lady!

Aviation can be an incredibly small world!
