food items getting smaller in the U.S.

Sat May 22, 2010 5:23 pm

Working a second job at a grociery store I get to notice the down sizing of products. Next time your at your local grocery store take a look at the smaller cereal boxes, candy bars, ice cream containers, etc. You are getting less but still paying the same price in most cases. Also contents within the product is also being less. This post was promptly made after buying a bag of Cracker Jacks and not one single peanut in the entire bag! :x Just wasn't sure any of you are aware of this.

Cheers,
Nathan

A pound can of coffee is no longer 16oz., it's now 11oz. depending on the brand.

Some people are too aware to the foods that they bought, it is because from contain of the foods. In this sequence it is because of the problem in the food industry that can control the pressure of high price. This is not only a problem in the U.S but also all over the world.

My new favorite is the SHRINKING TROPICANA ORANGE JUICE CONTAINER!!

Now only 59 oz's!. Used to ALWAYS be 64!!!
Also, when did Duncan Donuts lose about 1/3 of their size!

or the 1.4 litre of Cola.., the same price as a 2 litre? Amazing how little attention we pay at the store.

But, you are right.., as Americans get larger around the middle.., they will just have to eat more and more!!!

It is a horrible cycle!

Also, did you read that the powers that be decided to rename 'High Fructose Corn Syrup' to.,. get this.., 'Corn Sugar'.!!!

So look how fast those dirtbags put that on their labels vs. changes to nutritional requirements.
