11 foster kids living in cages ....... wakeman ohio

Wed Sep 14, 2005 9:46 pm

unfortunately this wix member is from wakeman ohio, home of the 11 caged foster kids that have made international headlines in the news. wakeman's population is just over 1000 residents, in a town with 1 traffic light, 1 bank, 1 video store, 2 gas stations. this tragedy has literally turned this town upside down. what a crappy way to get on the map!!! my wife works at the town grocery store, the biggest business in town which is hardly 3000 square feet in size. the news media has inundated the store to the point where they can't do business. the story must be told, but the media sensationalism is disgusting!!! i live 5 minutes from the slime ball foster parents. my dog sleeps in a cage when were at work so he doesn't winky in the house, but at least he has 2 pillows to lay on. more than those 11 kids!! it just goes to show you that ugliness is not that far from your door whether you are in a bumf***k egypt size town like mine or new york city. the situation speaks volumes as to the crappy foster parent program in ohio, how are the standards in your area?? regards, tom

If it makes you feel any better, I hadn't heard of this until now. Maybe not quite as international as you may think. I would like to say that I have never heard of anything like this is Ontario, but that would be a lie. Unfotunately digusting acts/events occur just about anywhere from time-to-time. The best we can do as citizens is know our communities and neighbours and be willing to take the appropriate actions even when at times you know they won't be well received.

We can hope that it will be a wakeup call to the system that should be protecting these children, Let hope!

Terribly disturbing & heinous acts that no child (or adult) should have to endure through. :x

It's awful and I feel bad for the kids.

I just heard about this today at school and I watch the news almost every day! It sounds kind of like those parents, in FL, that were treating their kids like crap. Im glad they finally found out about those ba****ds.
