Digital Picture printing.

I’m looking at getting several of my pictures made into 5x7s or 8x10 to display in my room. Yes I can hang all the aircraft pictures I want to, in “my” room. So what advice, tips and lessons can you all share so that I can avoid re-learn some of the same mistakes you have.

Try a few different places and see what results you get. Don't rule out places like your local super market, as the photo labs in those places can be very well equipped. The grocery store (Loblawas) closest to where I work makes very nice prints upto 20x16.

Tim,

Don't know if this is best but works for me, after all your photo editing
send the image back to a blank CF card (I have also burned images on
CD to mail to other people so they could print them) then take CF card
or CD, like Mike said, to any photo shop. Comes out like a regular film print.

I took one image to a Staples store, they did a 11x17"color on ink printer
while I waited in about 5 minutes. Came out real good, not great, but cost was only $2.
