B-17 sequence in 1981 movie Heavy Metal

Fri Mar 03, 2006 4:19 pm

Should I waste my time and money on the DVD. (have a vauge memory about seeing it 20+ years ago) Aw what the heck. Watching an animated B-17 plow through flak while Sammy Hagar's belting out heavy metal...dont see that every day.

It's Don Felder's Takin A Ride that is played during that sequence and you don't have to be a pothead to enjoy that film. However in regards to the interiors of the B-17 in that segment, just pretend you don't know what one looks like on the inside.

I always liked the vette dropping out of the shuttle, and Stern, and the doper aliens, and, and,

I really liked that movie. I think I'm gonna buy it too.

Orvis, Check out http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/p ... ght=#54025 about the avatar.

I too enjoyed that movie and the music, no stoning was necessary to do so. I think I'll need to get a copy also.

Hi Orvis,

Weather allowing, I'll be there with my new digital. Have done some air to air the past couple of weekends with a couple of SNJ's, I think this camera will do me good - Canon 20D
