In the post about the use of the Bomb on Japan, I've talked about negotiation. It has also been a big topic in the presidential debates. Barack thinks he can out talk all the bad guys, Mitt only wants to talk to guys as right and righteous as him. Those axis of evil guys are not the kind I'd like to have a beer with, that one from N Korea looks like Porky Pig with too tight underwear, that Iran guy is as full of it as a late night infomercial. So if I am ever Pres, I'm gonna nego with England. I'd ask them to appoint an envoy, let's say Liz Hurley, and we could meet at Duxford or Old Warden, or Wimbledon. Perhaps the Queen would invite me over for fish and chips, I hear she's got a nice house, and I almost speak the language. Maybe we could get the Merlin back in production, or at least agree beer should be served cold. I'd even travel to negotiate with Bahamian leaders or St Barts. I'd consider going to Paris, the French are rude, but they've got great art and food. If necesary we could send Erik Lindberg as an envoy, he already knows the way.

Let's say we have had a good time chatting with Liz and Queen Liz in England. But we notice a fact that may not have been apparent to Mitt the Morman. That is there are still dictators, tyrants, and other threats around the world. Let's say one of these bad guys wants to come over to the US, perhaps to the UN to possibly discuss taking us off his nuclear gift list. Some of them like the N Korean are so ugly and poorly dressed you wouldn't want to be see with them at a Sturgis bar, and not many people would want to listen endlessly to the guy from Iran. Who can we get to host them in the US? Any suggestions? How about Neon Dion Sanders and Donald Trump. For nightime entertainment Dennis Rodman and some fun girls like Paris and Nicole.

Bill, interesting propositions you have there, BUT...

Unless it's already snowing in Colorado and you can't get out of your house:

1) We need to find something for you to do with your extra time.
2) We MAY have to find you some mental therapy.

Dennis, Paris, and Nicole. It don't get much scarier than that.

Mudge the suspicious

Pretty funny, nonetheless :drink3:

Now, Bill you're trying to negotiate, right? That sounds more like torture to me.

Since I like you, I will not inform the ACLU, etc.

You touch on a interesting subject. Can one "talk" with dictators, or is the only thing they will respond to is overwelming power? I do not think Hilter would talk with Barak Hussein "the former Muslim" ( to use your description of Mitt) Obama. I think the only thing Hitler would understand is a gunbarrel to his face. He took the easy way out and did not really even face that.

I wish it was as easy as having a few drinks, and solving the world's problems.

Michael Moore? Jane Fonda? … hmmm. Maybe Rosie O’Donnell.
All we have to do is add Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, and Rush Limbaugh and we have the next sequel to “Team America: World Police”.
Have them all go to dinner with the Dictator. It will be just like Thanksgiving holiday with that relative you can’t stand. Kim Jong-il would not think of bothering us again.

Seriously, we should not negotiate with Dictators. Dictators only get their power from the people; the people just don’t know it yet.
Look at Romania. Once the people got wise to Ceausescu, he was toast.
The only way to negotiate with these countries is to surround them with Wal-Mart and the Gap.
Then their children will want the music/lifestyle and the change.

Look at Iran, almost every house has a satellite dish on the top. Time to start sending “Sponge Bob” to negotiate.

No, seriously.
With Wal-mart... soon, they will become us. (don't know if that is good or bad)

Live the good life!

Blue, Kim Jong-il doesn't look like he had much of a social life. Jane Fonda is still pretty attractive even if older than most WIX guys. So he'd probably like to have dinner with her. She's also got a couple of Oscars and a Tony I think, and has had some experience dealing with neurotic dictators as in Nixon. Elroy, I don't know who Henry Rollins is but if they are going out in the woods with Ted Nugent to play great white hunters they should have Dick Cheney along.

Yeah, I will have to give you that. I forgot that (The Dear Leader) had to kidnap Japanese women just to have a party.

And your right, Fonda is older, but still easy on the eyes (At least for his large glasses)

But Ann Coulter and Rosie O’Donnell… not so much (I don't think his glasses will help him).
