The question of legal responsibility on WIX has come up. There was an article in USA Today on this. The California Supreme Court ruled bloggers and Website Owners cannot be sued for posting libelous or defamatory comments by third parties, only the original authors can be sued. This 34 page decision is in line with the 1996 federal Communications Decency Act, which protects website owners, like Scott. Note, this does not address copyright issues, and might not apply in another state. We still should all write the truth, unless it is clearly humor or just opinion.
