Here are a few photos from Guam someone might like, a great place to visit I might add. and yes I do know the differences between guns, howitzers, mortars and aa guns, but i don't care...... :roll:

OK, I'm an airplane guy. What's the difference between a howitzer and a cannon? And for you Navy types: Why is a submarine called a boat and not a ship?

We almost have to change the question to the difference between a Howitzer and a Gun as both are cannons, In general it is usually accepted that a gun fires up to 45 degrees and a howitzer fires above 45 degrees, but this isn't even close to cut in stone, many are the exceptions to this rule. This is as clear as mud.... I usually call things whatever the country of orgin calls them...

As for the Sub thing let some Navy people jump in on that
