VALKYRIE is pretty good, I think most WIX guys will like it.
It is good adventure, almost no one it the theater was moving the last third. Some critics did not like that Tom Cruise speaks with a normal American accent, he doesn't make any attempt to kraut it up. But unless you got MAX Von Snydow or similar most any actor would be the same.
You don't forget that it is Tom, he's a good looking Yank so you have to see him with a grain of salt. But this movie is more about what Tom or Klaus does than who he is. It seems to be good history, if in fact it is accurate. There are a couple of good flying scenes, mostly in the first part. If you are looking for flaws, yes that's an HA instead of Me 109. If you are looking for suspense in a WWII setting, I think it is here.

Took my 14 year old son to see it last night as well. On a scale of 5, I would give it a 3 1/2. Having my teenage son tell me he was surprised by it and actually liked it? Absolutely a 5+!

Speaking of the planes Bill...did ya catch the P-40 in the beginning sequences with the shark-mouth? Another conversation I had with my son afterwards about the AVG. Did I read here that TC is working on a new AVG movie?

All-in-all...another great story that I am glad got told and for a short time held my son's attention...until we got home and off to MySpace he went

I did some more research on the event and found that the movie seems pretty accurate. Tom has quite a bit of look alike to the real Staufenberg, especially before the injuries.

The History channel just had a program on it the other night, sounds like a good movie.

I don't like the concept of this movie. You know who the bad guys are, and you know who dies at the end. Can't they come up with something with a less predictable outcome?

haven't heard about it much or seen it yet, but in side profile cruise looks just like von stauffenberg in that infamous photo.
