Every once in a while you see a story that makes you wonder about the human race or at least part of it.

Greg Bartlett, the sheriff in Morgon Co., Alabama, was just sent to jail by a judge for stealing food money from prison funds. The inmates are allotted a whopping $1.75 of food money. From this Bartlett pocketed $200,000 into his own account. Now that's not $1.75 per meal, it is per day.

Note, that in the news photo Bartlett himself looks plump. Another sheriff resigned after being caught stealing $13,000 in another Ala. county.

I'd say it's a rather safe bet that once he's in the general population with the other inmates and word gets out about what he's in for...they'll get their money's worth.
