EMAIL HACKINGS...I got one

Yesterday I got am email from a friend...a member of the 1941HAG museum. Well it was a hack. But it had the guys email address and home address on it. Basically it said he was stuck in another country and needed money to get out.

But I was very surprised that it was sent from my friends REAL email address and had contect information in the email and everything. And I am not the only one to get the same email!

Yep - got our family e-mail on Yahoo last month. Started sending out some REALLY nefarious stuff.

Had to create a new account and move everything over.

Change your e-mail password immediately, and make it something very complex, which isn't a word, and has many different unusual characters in it. The bastard will be going through your friend's e-mail address book, and trying to hack every e-mail on it (including yours), to repeat the process. Make sure you write your new e-mail password down of course, so you don't forget it! Best of luck... it's a cruel world out there filled with parascites.

I don't have any friends, so I'll know that anything asking for money is a fraud.

It's not hacking,it's about spam and phishing scams,and there's nothing you can do to stop it.Even if you change your password,you will keep receiving these messages.Many companies sell email addresses to thousands of advertisers selling their crap,providing jobs,winning money,etc. Most likely you are in one of those lists right now..

Yup, my friend was supposedly stuck in spain, one call to his house quickly proved otherwise.

i have also received this type of one..that Say's she want to make a better relation with me..and also she will share her complete wealth to my account etc...
