I went shooting this weekend. I realized my AR-15 is a fantastic rifle all around. 10 rounds in an 4 inch target with a red dot site. Just lovely. The realized the romanian PSL i just purchased is a pile of junk. Makes big boom, no good accuracy. Oh well..... still got stress relief out 8)

You need to go get some Tannerite. Fun stuff. ;-)

I had one of "those things" out as well, but didn't fire it at all. We were trying to get some hogs tearing up the sides of the runways.

Cheater! Using a scope!

Sounds like fun! I haven't had my AR out in way too long.

Red dot doesn't necessarily make you a cheater. Most red dots are 1 to 1 - just makes it easier to shoot with both eyes open for situational awareness!

The real question is at what range...

Ryan - who also shoots open sights

The red dot is a 1 to 1 trijcon holographic site . So not Really a cheat. But it makes for an easier target acquisition. It was at 50 yard range. The PSL has a short stock and I didn't know why it had such a long rubber end on the scope. Since the stock is too short , when I fired, the scope bounced off my forehead. Ahhh Cushioning. Took the scope off after that and still couldn't hit paper. I think I would do better throwing it at the target instead.

I think I just watched TV and played Guitar Hero - in compliance with my "no internet on weekends" policy :-)
