I do not know if you ever had the chance to try "Krombacher Pils", nor do I know if it is imported. But if you ever get the chance, just try it, it´s my favourite one. Well, there are more than 1200 breweries in Germany, producing about 5000 brands..... Krombacher Pils is the leading brand regarding the pilsen kind of beers in Germany. If you are interested just click here:

http://www.krombacher.com/index_flash.html

P.S: I have no interest whatsoever in the company, lol.

And with that thought in mind, a Public Service Announcement about Sam Adams Cherry Wheat(whut was I thinking :( ).....

I couldn't finish one bottle. Then gave the Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat a try...another fruity bad move but I'll manage to fritter those away one at a time over a few nights. Sticking to Blue Moon and reading internet reviews before buying anything new now.

+1 :D

If anyone is into wheat ales, I highly recommend Oberon from Bells Brewing Company. Great seasonal beer and it's release day here is widely recognized as a holiday off from work.

Last year, after a very hot Saturday at Thunder (and meeting up with a bunch of WIX members), we went to some riverside bar/restaurant and I was served a tall Hoegaarden, a frosty glass of Belgian wheat goodness. Oh man...that (and the next one) really hit the spot. Haven't seen it on tap down here, but it is in some grocery stores.

First beer after a stretch of hot 'n' sweaty like yard work, an icy Rolling Rock to cut the core temprature, then bring on the steaks and Widmer Bros. or Deschutes IPA or pitch black Porters. (the kind you need a spoon for, love a really chewy Porter)
