It is having an impact in America as well. My mom works for American Eurocopter, a division of Aerospatiale, which has a large stake in Airbus. Stocks (and pensions) are declining as we speak. Get those BRITS on the ball if you want to gloat about industry successes. ;)

Cheap crap comes from third-world unskilled labor, and America has become a nation of prosperous white-collar outsourcers. And it will bite us - perhaps it already is.

And lastly, commercial airliners are sold with seating packages; so if you had plenty of legroom, you should thank your carrier - not the aircraft manufacturer.
