Sports Illustrated put Texas and Colt McCoy on the cover this week. I hope it is not a jinx. Mo is a good team, I watched them run and pass all over Colorado last year. Lee Corso on TV just picked Texas. I hope we are ready for these guys. It will be on ABC tonight.

After the Mizzou game I don't think SI did wrong putting Colt and Texas on the cover. No jink this time. Pretty awsome team. I'd hate to play the second string.

Sooners fan here.

Will be interesting to see how the remainder of their season plays out. As long as Texas keeps winning, the Sooners don't have a chance to win their division, make the Big XII title game, or win the conference championship game, of course.

But... if OU does keep winning, and Alabama or Penn State falters down the stretch, it is conceivable they could creep back into the No. 2 slot in the BCS standings.

A Red River rematch in the national title game, perhaps? Could happen.

It is Sat morning, I'll be watching the game on TV. I am worried about it. The generic Okies have a good team with a real good and balanced offense. They can run, they can pass, they have good receivers, the QB can run and they would rather beat Texas than most anyone; which is the same as most teams. I hope Texas is ready. It won't be easy. Texas gave up two pass touchdowns in the second half to Missouri when the first team defense was still in the game. I think OK St has a better defense than Mo and a better pass rush.

This is another game that won't be easy. Tech might not run quite as well as Ok St, but they pass a lot better. Their defense is better than past years, more pass rush, better line. I didn't realize than Texas played St with 2 defensive backs with injuries. I hope and expect at least the Texas kickoff coverage to be better.

Ole Miss sucks this year.
LSU sucks this year.
Mississippi State sucks this year.

I guess I'm going to have to start crossing state lines to find a team I can watch without wanting to throw things. As long as SOMEONE from the SEC beats the pants off of USC this year I'll be happy.

Now Texas plays Kansas and is a two touchdown favorite, which seems about right. Kansas has a good running game, but has not been as good on defense. Texas is starting to get a lot of injuries. They cut lose the 2nd string center when he foolishly posted something racist on the internet, then the starting center just hurt his knee in practice. So they are playing with a freshman at center. The big game left,of course, is A & M in two weeks, one you never want to lose.
