My only critique is why not put a FORD in that FORD instead of that 'look, me too!' belly button 350/350? The Ford is narrower, shorter (with a TIGER water pump) lighter, and a 351W can be easily stroked and bored to make a small block 427 that provides a reliable 550+ HP without the DDA lung. Or wait a bit and get one of the new H&H sleeved aluminum block flatheads? The H&H flatmotor is bored to 339 (instead of the stock 239) and nothin' on earth says Old Skool Hot Rod like a flatty with a Tremic 6 speed behind it and that sound coming out from under the tailgate.

Being a FORD guy from top to bottom, I firmly believe that if you keep that 350, you really could turn 9 grand twice in the same day if Pep Boys stays open until 11. If the Chev is so much better, and I just love the idea of crawling on the motor and car to do points, how come the new NASCAR SB-7 Chevy is a direct knockoff of the SBF, down to the same firing order, evenly spaced, retangular exhaust ports, and, oh yeah, a front mounted distributor?

It had the Chevy in it when he bought it, so he kept it.
