Warbird Information Exchange

I need some help from the fellow weapons-WIXers out there.

I recently got a 4-9X40 scope for my Mauser 98k with a P4 range-finding reticle, but I have no idea how to use the bloody thing. The instruction sheet isn't much help, it's like it was translated from another language and does not make sense.

Is the distance between each line 1 MOA? Furthermore, with the variable zoom, is the range supposed to be taken at 4 power or 9?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm totally lost here.
