Yep same one.....the repair although costly was not as bad as first imagined. The engine did not have to be replaced......obviously the prop blade did with the mandatory overhaul to hub and such.

Hi Karen, long time no see, we met in San Marcos in '96 at the Gathering Of Memories airshow in San Marcos. My instructor and I were hanging out in the terminal waiting for a storm to pass to fly back to HOU.
You and your friend with the 02 (forgot his name) were there also and we chatted for a while. I used to stop by and say Hi at WOH, but since I am now a "Volunteer" there I don't get by the warbird ramp as much. Do you have a schedule of events you will be attending this year? Congrats on moving up to a great warbird!

Hi Tim.......I was trying to place the familiar name. Goodness that stormy day at HYI was long time ago..that was Jim Higgins with the replica B model that you are remembering.

Haven't we all had fun since then. Will be at all the spring and early summer Texas shows (I think) and then the fall shows with the exception of WOH. Have a several Nam Vet reunions in between the shows also. If I finish my annual this weekend my first show will be the POW Reunion at Randolph AFB next Friday; then Burnet in April..then all the May shows. Y'all gonna be at Burnet or Temple???

Good to hear from ya....take care :P
