Okay, before anyone wigs out about it, it's only a bull snake, which is completely harmless (unless you're a rodent or rattlesnake). Mark saw it transitioning across the ramp this morning and I grabbed the high-speed, low drag snake picker-upper that was recently given to us, and went out to investigate. He was just trying to get back into a grassy area, so I snatched him up and repositioned him where he could do some good hunting.

Oh, and I'm going to beat y'all to the punch and say that he's indeed almost as tall as me.....nearly four feet.

Good point. I'll have to get on his case about that, as he's currently strong-arming me for treats as I type this!

Gary, looks as though you have some Phase 1 Airworthiness Limitations in the briefcase there. For Ol' 927?

Good eye. Geez, I can't let anything slip by y'all. But actually, those are for the Cassutt Racer. Had to redo the paperwork on the airplane. Everything is cool now. As a matter of fact, I'm walking out the door to go fly it now! :D

Nope, Phase 2. The FAA was actually pretty gentle with this situation and it all went very smoothly. No problems at all.

Saw the Phase 1 on the first sheet and thought they were making you start over. Kinda strange that he included the Phase 1 Ops when the airplane has been in Phase 2 for a while.

That's why I thought it was for Ol' 927 as the changes have been extensive.

Dang, we're gonna have an all you can eat buffet before long. This is the second snake in as many days. This one was a little rattler though, so we, uh..."neutralized" him. ;-)

Image

After grabbing him with the snake picker-upper, we knocked him on the head to put him to sleep (for good). Then, just for fun, I milked his fangs.

Image

And to show Mosquito how poorly he was doing at his job, we decided to show him our catch of the day. He wasn't even a little bit happy with us for waking him up while in his little tent.....
