I went today to see my 2 neices Bronwyn (age 9) and Katie (age12) ride
in a fairly large horse show out in the country near Jefferson, OR. It was a blast watching those 2 kids ride their hearts out and get rewwarded for all their dedication and effort. In 2 days they won 3 Blue, 4 red and 3 yellow ribbons. Seeing a 12 year old on a big horse flying over a 4' jump is pretty impressive! I got burned raw standing out there for 8 hours but I wouldn't trade the day for any kind of flying 8) :!:

It's defently a big money sport for the most part. But it's also demanding and taking loads of time and dedication. My younger neice's pony is 22 years old and has Addison's disease so she got him instead of the glue factory. A little girl's love and dedication can really go a long way has you can see.

Sorry but I have to laugh! I used to get this type of thing all the time growing up. "Wow your dad owns an airport! You must be rich!"

My sister has 7 thoroughbred horses, she must by rolling in cash. Unfortunately, unless your hobbies make you lots of $, there is a fair chance they are making you broke.
