I was curious because I format the size of the Registry and the rest of the site to fit on a 14inch monitor. I wanted to know what the average size was. I have three 14inch monitors and a 21 inch one, only because it was originally used on one of the editing suites but they switched to LCD monitors so this monster CRT needed a home, which I was glad to give it )

hi gents,

Sorry for the late reply, just saw the thread.

21" minimum on the desktop at work, 24" access at home (1920x1280! is
a wonderful thing) 19" on the flat panels, and 1400x1050 on the laptop.

then again, I'm very spoiled, I work for a computer HW company.

BTW, the real reason for the post is according to the marketing folks
the avg monitor being bought for a desktop these days is a 17" for a
tube based, and 18" for a flat panel. And tubes are well on their way out.. most graphics cards now are switched over to digital connectors
and the resolutions are getting much higher - 1280x1024 is pretty much
the standard resolution for us these days, although on the windows side
I understand its 1024x768. (home market).

anyway, thought I'd pop in .02...
