Aviation Induced Divorce Syndrome... Looks like I have it. It sucks. I am not usually into posting stuff like this out there, but people here are more likely to understand.

Well, she got a really great job offer in another state, and left. Now the original plan was for to move out there as soon as I could get an aviation job out there, but the place she is at has almost no aviation. It sucks. She asked if I wanted to leave my field, which I do not, but considered for a while, and I still couldn't find anything. We had been living 600 miles apart for 8 months. The distance has made us grow apart. We are still friendly, but it is just really hard to take. Sorry to ramble, but thanks for listening.

Chris, you better think about this real hard. Personally I'd give just about anything to have my wife back. I love her an awful lot and only want the best for her, but things happened to quickly and I was just to messed up in the head to be able to think about finding a solution for our problems. Are you sure you want to give up your wife for what amounts to a job? There are jobs in the world, ya know? And there are women in the world, as well. A jobn sure won't keep you warm nights when the world gets cold and you're growing old.

HEy Muddy, thanks for the advice. There is a good bit more other than the job that made us grow apart. I just don't want to go into all of it, but I DO really thank all of you for the kind words. I always say that there are great people here.
Tom, thanks to you as well my friend as well as Bear and the others here. It means alot.

I know when I went through mine, I convinced her to try counseling. I think she knew it wouldn't help but she went anyway. After about 6 sessions, she was done. I kept going even though it was pretty hard to afford on my own. In the end I learned alot about myself and about her and it helped immensely. Obviously that is a hard thing to do hundreds of miles apart.

In my situation, it was the worst thing in the world that ever happened to me. I was a wreck. My life was ruined. I was full of hate, anger, confusion, and I missed her terribly.

It's been 9 years now, and looking back, it is the greatest GIFT she ever gave to me. I've been remarried for 2 years now. Honestly, my wife now would not even recognize the person I was back then. I was able to find the real "me" again.

I f she doesn't want to be with you the best thing is to let her go and move on with your life....6 billion people in the world and 3 billion are women. I had a special song for my old girl freinds that didn't want to get with the program.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVuWUXKS ... re=related I replaced them in less than a week and then they wanted to come back  No way! The best way to get over it is move on... Anyway I hope all works out for you...

I have been single for alittle over two months. I was totally in love with this girl and we got along great and she loved me and said she wanted to be with me forever. But a few weeks after X-MAS she left me to go back to her ex bf!  :!: I just wanted to say that I too am having a hard time with someone that I wanted to be with forever. I lost 25 pounds because of it!!!!

Sometimes love is great....but sooner or later your heart gets broken and your world kinda goes upside down. Not sure I will ever love someone the same as I did Lisa. So is life......

Good luck...stay strong....WIX is here to help. 8)

Mine was my highschool sweetheart and my parents best friends daughter. We split up when I joined the air force and found each other again 13 years later, married, in love, had two beutiful children together and then after 7 years, it went in the toilet because of her mother being.

Love sucks, I hate it I want to stab it in the eye, if I meet it, but I know, that after the last two weeks without her, and finally seeing my children for the weekend, that my life is starting over and I am now concentrating on my career ensuring that my children know they are loved and grow up with me.

Good luck, oh, yeah, I am down about 30 lbs in two weeks, had to buy new pants this past weekend, went from a 44 pants now down to a 38 minus, so working out, feeling better about myself already and moving on.
