Lots of flames visible in the Chino Hills and Corona areas surrounding Chino Airport this evening. 91 & 57 freeways have been closed off and on all day. Traffic is a real mess, even on a Saturday night because of all the detours.

We have ash falling (25+ miles away as the crow flies) at my house from the Santa Ana winds.

No risk to Chino Airport, the fires are miles away and there really isn't any serious brush or forested areas on the airport.

Some areas have been pretty hard hit with lots of residences lost from at least 3 or 4 major fires in the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara areas. Arson is suspected in at least one. Had a low flyby from a CDF helicopter picking up water from Prado Dam while driving on the 71 going to the airport in the morning.
