Here are three pics from this weekends 24 hour storm

Image
5 hours into the storm!

Surfs up dude! Weird wind effect.

The dish that these hang from is heater so produces a constant stream of water even on coldest days. The liquid water combined with cold temperatures and high winds produced this very strange result

Just thought I would share.

I'm glad we only got 10" of snow and very little wind. Its a real pain to plow any more then that. As it was it took two hours to plow my driveway.

cool shots. Are things getting back to normal yet?

You must have a large area to clear. We got about 7.5 inches on Friday(our first >1 inch storm for the winter!), and had it cleared out by noon Saturday. It was unseasonably warm today, it hit 40 here in MN.

you can send as much as you can down here to south australia Rob, we can use the water when it melts and if it lowers the temps from the high today of a bit over 100F then I won't complain about that either.

Tim, you just don't understand. People drive just fine in the snow. They drive down the road fine, they drive over guardrail with hardly a bump and trees are just a skill exercise for those who have truly talented individuals.

And I don't want to forget those Fear Factor wannabes who just have to see how far they can stuff a car up under a state truck, all the while claiming never to have seen the truck until after they hit it.

No Tim, you and I could never hope to be that talented in our lifetimes. We can only sit back and look at them in awe :prayer:

nother 8 inches today, seems inconsequential compared to the weekend. Got to hand it to the state plow guys, they kicked butt! They did an excellent job getting things cleaned up just to be dumped on again.
