Let things run their course, providing they don't get out of had. You don't cover a festering wound you let it breath. I have found myself at odds many times with Bill (on off topic) but there seems to be some merit to what he said.

In the last topic you locked down it was respectful at least on my part, some of the other posts were a little pointed but all in all not as bad as some of the other topics and replies in them.

James with all due respect all of us are volunteer's on wix we voulenteer our ideas, thoughts, information, help and support, most of the time its all free.

I am sure that the mods have the ability to delete replies and are also able to note it on the topic.

Actually, I'm not sure it's going to fly--or it will turn into a dagger fest and never go away until the poster goes away.

I keep wondering why the old three and three isn't in force here. In all the time I have been here I have seen ONE poster banned, and then we all made fun of him when he kept popping in an posting three hundred and twelve single picture link posts in thirty minutes.

So give out three warnings for belligerence, allow all topics (maybe crazy stuff like politics and how hot Bills niece is in the OT forum) and give the mods warning powers and maybe one or two people the Ban Hammer to swing.

Once a person has three warnings he gets a temp ban. Three more warnings another temp ban. Final three warnings is a permaban. Anybody who can't keep civil after THAT much rope deserves to be hanged, imo.

I mean, the basic rules of civility aren't hard to get, and only rarely is an apology offered here. Maybe rescind the warning if an apology and a retraction are made for minor bickering, and for outright insults a days suspension?

I post in a number of forums where this is the norm, and while it may take a person a while to get the ban, in general those unable to play nice generally go away within a month after enough pounding by the hall monitors.
