Message for T33, and anyone else interested.
I just came down from skiing on a perfect day. Lot's of new white snow, blue skies and although it was down to 0* last night it was up in the 20s by noon. A little crowded, but a day that makes you glad you are here outdoors in the mountains.
When you coming out?

If your daughters ever come here, they'll see so many guys their age it will be great. And it was warm weather today, with the blue skies and sun out. It was just cold enough to keep the snow great, not cold on your face skiing or even on the lift. Folks were sitting outside on the porch at lunch.

LOL - outta town snowbunnies!! Just what the local boys are praying for! The Skiing in Utah was killer this past week as well but it was a bit more of a overcast powder day expereince. I am jealous of Bill and the clear and sunny day!

Tom, I am sitting by my picture window trying to catch up on a lot of paperwork while I am looking out at the postcard perfect scene over Aspen Mt. I think the scene is winning over the paperwork. It is as perfect as yesterday except even a little warmer.
Utah really a "killer". There is serious avalanche danger there and many other places, for skiers, snowmobilers and others. 3 lost in Utah, 3 in Colo. 8 in Canada, I will keep my skiing in bounds for sure.

sigh - yeah - the local avalanche office is saying this is the worst season they can remember as far as the conditions being just right, or wrong, for avalanches.

I have never been too much of a "backcountry" fan - to lazy to do all that hiking  So I am a 95% "inbounds" skiier - besides it is so much closer to the mid mountain grill. I am jealous of your view - my office faces West and it is overcast here today.

I don't recall (maybe my short memory) seeing a thread on the Spitfire's recovery - how is that going?

Tom, thanks for asking about the Spitfire. Unfortunately there isn't anything to tell so far. I am trying/hoping to get funds for the repairs, but nothing at this point. I don't want to say too much right now, but maybe I'll be able to say more in a month or so.
