Hi All,

So who is going to watch the Superbowl on Sunday? I, of course, believe the Eagles will win, anybody disagree?? :)

What was your favorite Superbowl of all time? Mine was the Jets-Colts game....Second to that would be all the Steelers games, and I also enjoyed the Giants victories in the mid eighties.

Here's hoping that Sunday's game will become a new favorite! I really really hope that is well played on both sides, and not a runaway. Those are always the best games.

Karen

I still havent found a good place to go watch the game.

The word in this corner of the country is that the only way the Eagles have any airtime this week is because of the "Hype" before the game.
I am not a fan but everybody at work is all excited. "Back to back in Jax"
is posted all over the place. One guy I work with is expecting at least a 10 point spread. 3 other guys I work with are watching the game in St. Thomas to use up their last AA buddy passes. I just want to see the Commercials, and if it is a blowout, by that time the ads will be running again and I can go do something else.

I guess I will post here on monday toodles

Hi Rob,

There are several things to consider in what will allow the Eagles to be victorious.....none of them scientific...... you must understand, I have nothing but the utmost respect for the Patriots, and their talented players. They are an excellent, well balanced team, and, as much as I hate to say it, their quarterback, is outstanding! Look at what they did to the Steelers! :x  :(

However, I beleive part of what will be a motivating factor is, " Who wants it more?" Now, it can be argued that both teams do, but it has been 23 years since the Eagles have been to the Superbowl, so I think that gives them a slight edge there.

Also, they have one of the very best teams they have had in as long as I can remember, and they have not shown much weakness anywhere.

And lastly, I believe they will win because......... are you ready for this answer??? It is agood one....one that should give the Eagles lots and lots of confidence......

Because I really really really want them to win, darn it!! Isn't that part of what makes rooting for your favorite team the most fun?

As long as it is a well played game, I will survive a loss, but I do hope that this is our year!!

BTW, I haven't drank a Molson since my college days 20 some years ago, but after reading the other post, I think I might get a six pack for the game on Sunday!

Karen

I'm not going to watch the thing, because they cancelled our hockey game so they could use the rink for a party.

Thing is, when there's the Superbowl, no ones come to play, so the ones who are actually there get plenty of ice time, he he he....

1st of all the super bowl in my opinion should be called the stupid bowl!! i gave up on all pro sports in 1995 when the cleveland browns skipped town in the middle of the night. for years i bought bumper stickers, tee shirts, etc & supported the home team. some thanks i got!! bottom line...... MOST!!!! pro athletes are over sexed, over drugged, over paid, over pampered & just plain screwed up!! some have their act together such as tiger woods, lebron james, donovan mcnabb etc. but the majority of the pro jock straps have lost their perspective & so has pro sports. i don't want my kids looking up to a mega million dollar player who still finds it necessary to deal dope, rob liquor stores, rape etc. i work 80 + hours a week, i find it insulting what these bozos get. sure i'd love that kind of dough, who wouldn't?? but is anybody worth that kind of $$$$$?? i'm not for starters!! & i don't give a rat's a** what i've contributed to society!! these people PLAY A GAME FOR A LIVING!! i work to provide for 4 kids, an ex wife, new wife, my other financial obligations, & hopefully some left for future dreams etc!! don't anybody accuse me of sour grapes, i just know what an honest day's work is, as i'm sure the other "joe six packs" on this site do too best, tom

Sorry, I don't watch baseball. I'll be going to the shooting range to mercilessly decimate hapless black and white roundels with hot lead.

Wasn't Paul McCartney quoted as saying that he and his band will be playing in the nude this year to avert any possibilty of similar wardrobe malfunctions?
