Hey,
I took this picture from Canaveral National Seashore, a week and a half ago, after a suggestion from wls.
It was really cool to see two on the pads at the same time.



Oh and BTW, when you hang around with Bill and Sanna, good pictures just seem to happen.
I took this on a ride through the wetlands near their house.

I'd have to have a lot bigger lens to got those shots from my house! I watch the launches from all the way across the state. (Tampa Bay) If it is clear enough, I can usually see the SRB Separation. Saw the Challenger "incident" and knew immediately that it was Very Bad!

Hmmm,
I look out front and all I see is how dirty my truck is.

I guess its good I dated the topic title, cuz they are not full anymore.

How does Sammy like that noise?

Noise usually takes several minutes to reach us on a launch. We are far enough that it's not loud.

Many folks still come out of their homes or stop work to watch the launches.

Now, the double sonic boom when they come back to land can be very loud.

Was at a spring training baseball game when the last one came back.
Unable to see it, but the whole crowd cheered welcoming the shuttle home upon hearing the twin booms,
