Looks like in Russia someone got onboard an airliner with chemicals and other "harmful" items. Seems to be on the rise lately. I can see this causing our aviation freedoms going out the door pretty soon. :? :( Maybe? Hope not! :roll: :Hangman: :evil:

You know, I wouldn't so much mind the time spent going through baggage searches and personal screening if I felt it did any good at all. The TSA is a sham, created for political purposes to look like we are at least doing "something." If only I had any confidence at all that the extra scrutiny was effective...

I hate to say this, but I agree 100%. The only reason the TSA exists is to make the traveling public think that they are "safe" when they travel and thus prevent a loss of confidence in airline safety and security. If the public's confidence is lost, the entire airline industry would go under. The airline industry can not fail, because if they did, it would have far-reaching implications for our economy and nation. There are so many "loopholes" and "leaks" in airport security that it is virtually impossible to prevent a determined terrorist from causing huge devastation and havoc.
