Each year the ZGAT group does a survey of airline quality. The 2010 results are now out. On another topic here, about best airlines, I said that I thought Southwest was the best domestic airline. I don't fly and don't know about Singapore, rated high hear or Luthansa or such. Some others on Wix disagree with my choice. But of the 7 categories of domestic airlines in this survey, Southwest ranks number one in 4 of them, 2nd is Jetblue which doesn't serve down in God's country so that I have never flown them. I do recall that Jetblue was one of the worst or first to stand passengers out on the ramp for, I think 8 or 9 hours, during bad weather in New York. I don't know if they have changed their ways re this for better service or because of the new law; but I would be reluctant to fly them and give them a chance to hold me for hours. I think Jetblue is trying to be the Yankee version of what Southwest started, may also be profitable. Another airline coming up in rankings is Continental, which is now a part of United, I think. I have some friends who fly with or retired from United, but I can't say much good about their treatment of customers, which seems to be to try to milk every dollar they can out of a passenger in fees, definitely unlike Southwest. The survey is online, Google it and it is interesting to read. Quite a bit is about foriegn airlines which I really don't know, or care.
